Thatching Rain Cape

  

Actual palm leaves are handwoven.  The backside is an open diamond weave; the front looks like thatching.  Used indoors, last indefinitely; outdoors for one or two seasons.  We suggest taking them down in winter climates.  Also Available in round.

Mottles Bamboo

 

-Also known as tortoise shell; individually hand mottles through a process of slightly scorching the surface to produce a random "tortoise shell" appearance.

 

Taiwan Bamboo

 

-A prettier bamboo with more prominent nodes.  Color is yellow beige to a silvery gray. 3/8" to 5 1/2" in diameter.

 

Flat Bamboo

 

-Taiwan type; 2" X 6' lengths; yellow beige; many uses such as frame trimming, molding, bow.

 

Tonkin Bamboo

   

-Somewhat stronger than the Taiwan Bamboo, the nodes are less prominent; 3/8" to 11/2" diameter; greenish tan aging to a silvery gray. 

 

Guadua Bamboo Poles

 

-Not too shiny, timber type. 5" to 6". 

   

Manua Rattan

 

-Solid and very dense, beige in color.
